Description
The Ancona Fowl
Since the first poultry shows started in Victorian times, there has been considerable interest in breeding and exhibiting pure breeds of poultry, the Ancona Fowl. Moreover, the hobby has continued unabated, and now there are some poultry farmers who keep standard breeds. With the growing interest in free-range poultry, this trend is expected to continue.
Each monograph gives the history of the breed, an explanation of the standard, and photographs and other illustrations. As far as possible, the British and American type birds are covered. Both bantams and large fowl are covered.
